Pay: $25–$32+ per hour, based on experience and skill level

About the Role

Thermal Solutions is a locally owned heating and cooling company based in Youngsville, NC. We serve homeowners throughout the surrounding Triangle area and are looking to add an experienced service technician to our team.

We are not a high-pressure sales company. We want technicians who can troubleshoot properly, explain issues clearly, make quality repairs, and treat customers the right way.

This role is a good fit for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to be part of a company that is serious about doing things correctly.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Running residential and light commercial HVAC service and maintenance calls
• Troubleshooting and repairing gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, air handlers, and related HVAC components
• Checking electrical components, airflow, refrigerant issues, thermostats, controls, and system operation
• Completing repairs correctly and confirming the system is working before leaving the job
• Explaining findings and repair options to homeowners in a clear, professional way
• Taking photos, adding notes, and documenting work in Housecall Pro
• Keeping your truck clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Following company procedures so customers receive a consistent level of service
• Helping with project work or installs when needed during slower seasons

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of residential HVAC service experience preferred
• Able to troubleshoot most service calls without needing constant help
• Comfortable working on gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and air handlers
• Good electrical troubleshooting skills
• Basic understanding of refrigerant circuits, airflow, and system performance
• Professional with homeowners and coworkers
• Clean workmanship and attention to detail
• Dependable, organized, and willing to follow process
• Someone who cares about doing the job right, not just getting to the next call

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• EPA Certification preferred
• Basic hand tools
• Able to work independently
• Able to safely lift equipment, use ladders, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions
• Able to pass any required employment screening

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Consistent 40-hour work weeks
• Service area is primarily within 30 miles of Youngsville
• Occasional schedule adjustments may be needed during peak seasons
