Who We Are
Thermal Solutions is a locally owned heating and cooling company based in Youngsville, NC. We serve homeowners throughout the surrounding Triangle area and are looking to add an experienced HVAC Install Technician to our team.
We care about clean, correct installs. We are not looking for someone who rushes through jobs or cuts corners. Our focus is quality workmanship, clear communication, and leaving the customer with a system that was installed the right way.
This role is a good fit for an installer who takes pride in the finished product, works well with a crew, and wants steady work with a company that values doing things correctly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing residential HVAC systems, including gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, gas packs, package heat pumps, and mini-split systems
- Helping complete system replacements from start to finish
- Installing and modifying ductwork as needed
- Setting equipment, connecting refrigerant piping, drains, venting, low-voltage wiring, and related installation materials
- Following company install procedures and quality standards
- Helping make sure each system is installed safely, cleanly, and correctly
- Verifying system operation before the job is complete
- Keeping the job site clean and organized
- Working with install helpers and other team members to keep the job moving
- Communicating clearly with the install lead, office, and customer when needed
- Assisting with project work or other HVAC-related work during slower periods
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred
- Able to complete major portions of a residential install with limited supervision
- Comfortable working on split systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, and ductwork
- Good understanding of proper installation practices
- Clean workmanship and attention to detail
- Able to work well with a crew
- Willing to follow company processes and installation standards
- Dependable, professional, and focused on doing the job right
- Someone who takes pride in the way the final install looks and performs
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Basic hand tools
- Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions
- Ability to safely lift and move equipment as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions, job scopes, and company procedures
- EPA Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Sheet metal experience is a plus
Pay and Benefits
- $25–$32+ per hour, based on experience and ability

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Full-time position
- Consistent workflow and scheduling
- Occasional schedule adjustments may be needed during peak seasons
- Occasional crossover into other HVAC project work may be needed based on workload

- Can complete major portions of an install without needing constant direction
- Takes pride in clean equipment setting, duct transitions, drains, venting, wiring, and overall job appearance

- Cares about doing the job correctly and leaving the customer with a clean finished product
